I'm 17 years old and African American. I attend school at Little Red Schoolhouse and Elisabeth Irwin High School (LREI) , located in SoHo, New York. I am a Prep for Prep and All Star Code alum. I live in Brooklyn, New York. I consider myself an athelte, a musician, a comedian, an artist, a designer and I am an aspiring Computer Engineer. I currently intern at Bleu Magazine, a men's fashion magazine. I represent All Star Code as an alum ambassador.

August 2015 - Present
I am currently interning at Bleu Magazine. I am creating their spin-off ecommerce website, "Brick and Ivy". I will then develop their mobile application.
The Young Hackers

Web Designer

August 2013 - Present
I was recruited into the Young Hackers, an exclusive group of teenage students in NYC, who create hackathons around the city to promote Computer Science and diversity in the tech industry.

I helped lead, organize, and run Local Hack Day NYC 2015 (click me) on October 15th. I built the website, promoted the event, and led the event, as the Master of Ceremony, throughout the day. Local Hack Day was city-wide hackathon open to any highschooler, with guest speakers, Minerva Tantoco (NYC CTO), and Robin Raskin (TV personality)

I was elected on the ASC board as a representive and ambassador for my cohort of the ASC Summer Intensive. I am in charge of planing events, managing social media, and representing the organization.

I recently attended Droid Con, the annual convention hosted by Google for global Android Developers at the Metropolitan Pavillion. Facebook, Microsoft, Firebase, American Express, Uber, Cloudbase, Twillio, Lyft, Twitter, and other companies attended and distributed "swag" and offered opportunities.

I went to Space Apps Next Generation, the first ever 24 hour Hackathon exclusive for High Schoolers, hosted by NASA in September. I also attended, PennApps XII, the twelfth iteration of the first college and elite hackathon, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.

I am on the executive board committe and act as a facilitator and representative of LREI at DAIS.

At DAIS, Students across New York City participate in discussions to strengthen schools through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures, ideas, and lifestyles. These meetings and conferences occure every first Friday of the month.

I competed in a selective process among the city’s youth to obtain a stipend for summer employment.

I engaged in 30-hours of pre-employment training designed to teach essential workplace and interview readiness skills and business etiquette.

Awarded scholarship to travel as a participant in a dynamic cross-cultural educational summer program.

I traveled to France to study French culture, language and urban architecture for 6 weeks. I interned at a restaurant, La Brigout, and did community service.

I organized test material for Prep for Prep student applicants and actively supervised tests in session and assisted students in need. In addition to proctoring student testing, I spoke to prospective parents to voice personal experience and answer questions about the program. I was also a Prep for Prep student panelist.
I was awarded a scholarship from Prep for Prep to attend this Arts camp. I was formally instructed in painting and drawing techniques, as well as, music theory and jazz technique.

I also represented the organization at the 2015 Annual Sumer Benefit and was also featured on the PBS Newshour: "Cracking the code to a more diverse tech workforce"
